I’ve worked with Global Action for the last few years and I’m steadily working my way through their trips, providing promotional content for them. These trips have taken me to mountains, jungles, cities and everything in between. It’s a real test of equipment and team management as, during these filming jobs, I’m also leading the group in these locations…

Global Action: india

India was an incredible place to work. The group travelled from the Himalayas to the bustling cities and soaked up as much culture and adventure as they could manage.

I was tasked to produce promotional videos for the activities and an overview promotional video of the trip.

Student experiences are what it’s all about and hearing from them about what they enjoyed about the trip was a very special moment for me as a Leader. I was fortunate to have worked with a charming and fun group of teenagers who squeezed as much as they could out of their trip and enjoyed it all the more as a result!

The first location that the group stayed in was the cloud forest of Monteverde; a location with some of the highest biodiversity on the planet. Panoramic views, conservation projects and environmental education made this my personal favourite place on the trip!

Costa Rica brought with it its own set of challenges in terms of filming. Dense jungle, humidity and plenty of thunderstorms made capturing this trip particularly challenging.

Global Action operate with an ‘in-country’ partner in every country. This partner’s role is usually to help guide the team with the schedule and to ensure that everything from an operational standpoint is run smoothly; offering local knowledge and experience. For Costa Rica, this in-country company is Jakera: a family run business with ethical tourism at its heart.

Cirenas is a turtle conservation project which Global Action have been supporting for a number of years. Teams of volunteers will head out along the beaches each night in search of turtle nests to protect them from poachers.
